Avoid These Website Mistakes

Jakob Nielsen is the undisputed king of usability on the Web. If you're doing any of these things on your site, stop it now! I particularly like the list of tips about writing for the Web. Use the following to make your website easier to read:

  • subheads
  • bulleted lists
  • highlighted keywords
  • short paragraphs
  • the inverted pyramid
  • a simple writing style, and
  • de-fluffed language devoid of marketese. Note from the editor: whatever does he mean? ;>)
