Venu specializes in helping entertainers, event managers and venues promote via social media. We combine traditional marketing expertise with insights on social media to bring you the most strategic and effective ways to use the new medium. We've even written a book on the subject.
Sylvia O'Stayformore relies on Venu for increasing attendance at her Bacon Strip showsEvents and Entertainment (E&E) are a natural fit with social media marketing. Why? Simply because events and entertainment in and of themselves are social. It's easy to put together a guest list, invite friends, relate a story, share photos and more. Social media's ability to deliver messages immediately makes it an ideal medium for those events people attend spontaneously.
Venu will select only the most appropriate social tools to maximize your investment in it, taking into account the local and time-sensitive nature of E&E. We make sure you're listed on the appropriate calendars and that announcements are posted at the right time. And although the Web is international, events for the most part are not. People will only travel so far, so we make sure you get enough local coverage.
The following are just some of the ways we can help you with your social media marketing efforts. When you're ready to get started, contact us. We'll be happy to discuss your needs and provide you with a proposal.
Social Strategy
It's important to think about social media strategically so you can make the most of your marketing budget. We look at your entire business to make sure social media is the right approach; then we look at how much of your resources should be devoted to social media. We also look for ways to stretch your budget by leveraging your internal resources.
Social Media Toolkit
Creating a social media toolkit™, will help you communicate consistently and correctly by gathering everything you need in one place. These materials may be used for future marketing efforts as well. The toolkit we’ll create for you includes:
- Keywords (and tags)
- Event description (varying lengths)
- Important web addresses: your URL’s and RSS/xml (if available)
- Social media list (see below; keep logins and passwords handy, but in a safe place)
- Visual identity components: logo, colors, images
- Key phrases
- Contact lists (for sending out invitations to networks, if available)
- List of tracking mechanisms and reports
Social Media Site List
It’s important to include niche sites in your list, beyond the mainstream sites mentioned above, to target more effectively. We’ll compile a top-ten list based on the target audience, relevance and traffic. The list may include neighborhood blogs, bookmarking, review or social networking sites and more.
Social Site Profiles
We’ll also help set up the profiles on each page using the toolkit.
Facebook Page & Promotion
This may include: creating the page, recommendations for enhancing it, finding and joining appropriate groups, connecting with other social sites and tools, creating a Facebook Badge to link to your website, adding Gydget to update event details, etc. You’ll want to invite existing contacts to the page and add your page’s link everywhere (i.e., website, social sites, email signature, etc.).
Calendar Listings
Includes writing content and placing listings on event calendars and within calendars on social networks.
Social Widgets
Another option for making the most of social media is to either build social tools into your website (i.e., forums, discussion boards, member walls and activities, etc.) or to build your own social site on a service like Ning. To get your feet wet, we may start by adding polls and games into your site.
Social Maintenance
Depending on the recommended list of social sites, we can provide you with a program of regular updates on those sites. This may include Twitter postings, calendar updates, Facebook updates, etc.
Reputation Monitoring
Monitoring social media activities allows us to respond to any comments or posts as they come up. It will also help you see what's working and what isn't, and enable us to revise accordingly. We can set you up with social tools that make that a bit easier, like a reputation monitoring dashboard.
