Keep an Eye Out with Google's Revamped Alerts
With all the attention given to reputation monitoring, it's no surprise Google has given Alerts a makeover. Use it to see what people are saying about you, your business or products. The preview window is a new feature which gives you an idea of what the alerts might include and helps you refine your search. Be sure to set the options so you don't drown in emails. You can also use it to keep tabs on your competition and/or topics of interest, which could lead to valuable linking and publishing opportunities.

Whether you sell to consumers, contractors or big corporations, your customers are bombarded with messages every day. In this environment, companies cannot assume that prospects, or even long-time customers, know all about them. Companies must find a message that strongly communicates their added value.

Yes, it's absolutely essential to communicate to prospects and customers the value of what you do and how it's different from the competition. In other words, why they should choose you.

Yes Moz provides also a lot of data if you have a free account. You just have to register, thats it. I used to use it a lot, when I started making more money I got my self an ahrefs and majestics account.

Other Business listings I like to use are: Hotfrog & Mant and Merchantcircle.

Hi Joe,

I belong to the Seattle Search Network Meetup group whose members really know SEO. They're always recommending ahrefs too. And I've dabbled in Majestics as well. Thanks for the additional tools recommendations. Always appreciate hearing about new ways to promote.
